Star Anise (Illicium verum) is an aromatic star shaped spice pod. Star anise is commonly used in South Asian cooking. In Indian cuisine, Star Anise spice is used in preparation of biryani and masala chai. Star anise is as well used in the curry spices for a sweet, warm and aromatic notes in flavours.
Star Anise is also a major ingredient in Chinese Dishes for flavoring meat, veggies, curries, confectionaries and for pickling purposes.
